Avilar Ships WebMentor Training Software

Avilar Technologies is now shipping its WebMentor training software which allows organizations to create, manage and deliver training courses via the Internet.

"WebMentor creates an Internet-based training environment that enables training on any subject to anyone, anywhere, anytime. This product revolutionizes continuing education by eliminating the cost and inconvenience of instructor-based training or education," said Jerry Horsewood, president, Avilar Technologies.

Among WebMentor's features are scalable browser-based authoring, enrollment, registration, electronic commerce, a centralized ODBC compliant database, six question types, student progress tracking, and online help. It makes training courses available 24-hours-a-day across intranets and extranets as well as the Internet.

WebMentor is available in Enterprise and Personal versions. WebMentor Enterprise is a complete solution for an unlimited number of students and costs from $3000. Personal Authoring offers course design and delivery to a limited number of students (up to 5 or up to 50) and costs from #395.
